Winter Ski Season Work
Although it may seem a long way away, winter is just around the corner and if you’re looking to spend your time working within the ski season, now is the time to start applying! Whether you fancy a break from the norm, a change of scenery or you just want to try something different, this could be the opportunity for you.
We have some fantastic opportunities to work in Switzerland, France, Italy, Austria and Andorra this year! We will be looking for Chalet Hosts, Housekeepers, Ski Guides, Resort Managers, Chefs and Cooks to be available between November 2017 and March 2018!
These positions include free skiing and snowboarding passes in some of the world’s most sought after ski resort destinations. Whether you’re a pro or a novice, you will have the chance to take to the slopes and experience the mountain tops like never before! Skiing or snowboarding not your thing? Do not worry – tobogganing, snowmobiling and dog sledding are also great ski resort activities.
So, I hear you ask, what do these jobs entail? Luckily for you, we’ve put together a quick list of some of the main points of each.
You will be responsible for general housekeeping and cleaning of the chalet on a daily basis. You will also be required to prepare meals for the guests and help with dinner service in the chalet. This position allows you to stay in a beautiful mountain ski resort, to ski or snowboard (if you can!), eat great food and meet new people.
This is pretty much exactly what is says – if you can ski or snowboard, or both, this is a dream job. You are working while hitting the slopes and taking in fantastic views all day and meeting new people day in and day out.
This can be a demanding role, but also very rewarding and you will gain a lot of experience. You will be responsible for organising reps and staff, helping guests should they need it, arrange transfer days and generally staying organised and on top of things daily. Ideal for anyone who’s looking for a challenge.
In this role, you will be responsible for making sure everything is in order and nothing is out of place, as well as keeping the accommodation looking spotless. This includes cleaning, day-to-day housekeeping and laundry.
The Chalet Chef/Cook is responsible for the kitchen and catering for the clients, with assistance from the chalet staff. You will provide and deliver daily meals, as well as keeping the kitchen clean and tidy, along with food prep. You will have plenty of time to ski/snowboard, or just take in the views, as well as having some well-deserved ‘down-time’. This is a great role for anyone who enjoys working as part of a team!
Whatever role you go for, you will part of an amazing team and meet some great people along the way. Other benefits include a free ski and board rental, free food & accommodation and the chance to live, work and play in some of the most scenic destinations in the world!
This is a brilliant opportunity to gain hands on experience and it looks great on you CV too! If this sounds like something you’d love to do, get in touch with firstname.lastname@example.org.
